Yes so they can be visible and not mistaken for another furry beast. This section is for my wonderful, huggable, big teddy bear, Uly. No he doesn't get cold but it's nice to have a raincoat so that I don't smell him in the car ride back and for the next few hours around the house when we get home. Yes it's good to be highly visible and reflective when it's dark or foggy outside and especially in the winter time. It gets so dark by late afternoon.
