Proud to be Canadian ...

Wishing all the Canadian Olympians the best - we are so proud of them!!  The Vancouver 2010 games have been wonderful to watch and seeing those athletes win gold on Canadian soil - words cannot describe how thrilled and happy we are for them, their families and friends and all of us as Canadians.

A little bit of nostalgia and Canadian pride made me think of symbols and phrases, places and events that remind me of this. I have plenty of ideas waiting to become coats ... this is just the beginning.

A recent trip to the Bruce Peninsula gave me the much needed break to enjoy the beauty of Ontario's north. I came back full of ideas and I've started on some new coats that were inspired by the many places we visited this summer.

Of course we can't forget about our Canadian winters.  We certaintly can't ignore them.  So hail Canada - bring on the cold.
